We've always said, "The youth of today are the church of tomorrow."  With that in mind, we constantly strive to implement programs that will provide the appropriate atmosphere for your children to grow physically, mentally and most importantly - spiritually. North Highland makes many programs available to your children to enhance their spiritual walk with God. We teach them in a way that their young minds can understand, through puppetry, dramas, skits, etc. (as well as the spoken Word of God.)  Let's take a look at what's available to Highland Kids.

HKFA (Highland Kids Fine Arts)  -  This ministry is designed to teach and train children in the Fine Arts, Music, Drama, Human Video, Dance and Puppetry.  This prepares the elementary students for citywide outreach as well as the State and National Fine Arts activities that they will become more involved in when they reach junior high.

Studio 7 Outreach Ministry -  Our kids take this ministry to different venues throughout the city of Columbus.  The YMCA, Fort Benning, Muscogee County Schools are but a few of the places Highland Kids go with Studio 7.  Using dance, drama, human video and puppetry, our kids take the love of Jesus and His glorious gospel into Columbus and the surrounding areas.

Missions Outreach.  We teach our children from an early age about giving. Parents are asked to encourage their children to save all their spare change in their "Buddy Barrels" to support BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade). This mission supports A/G missionaries in their fields of ministry in America and around the world.

Special Needs Ministry.  This ministry focuses on toddlers thru 5th graders.  During the weekend service, we welcome children with Autism, Aspergers, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and ADHD.  Children are placed in an age-developmental appropriate mainstream classroom witn a volunteer during the church service.  This ministry is available with prior notice during Sunday morning services.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:  Vacation Bible School (VBS), Kids Camp, Easter Festivities, Trunk or Treat, Musicals.  There is much available for our children to be involved in here at North Highland.  Our mission is to reach the lost and develop them into disciples.  We offer a variety of activities that will engage our children in God's Word teaching them to apply it to their lives.  If we train up our children when they are young; when they are older, the Bible says they will not depart from it.

Highland Kids Fine Arts (HKFA):  We endeavor to teach our children every aspect of the fine arts.  From puppetry, human video, dramas, sign language, music, etc., we want our children to be well rounded.  We encourage them to allow God to use them in all of their areas of gifting.  Wanting them to feel comfortable to flow wherever God takes them, is a primary goal.
