OUR STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:   To present the message of hope found in Christ to our fellow believers and to our community through Music and The Arts. We strive to bring excellence and enthusiasm to all our music and productions, regardless of style or personal preference, and seek to be sincere and Spirit-led in all our efforts.

The Music/Fine Arts ministry of North Highland is exciting and vibrant. Music is a major feature of our worship before, during and after the service itself. Instruments range from piano, keyboard, synthesizer, guitars, saxophone, bongos and drums. Any given service may include traditional hymns, hand-clapping gospel, contemporary praise and reverent worshipful choruses. The sanctuary choir ministers every Sunday morning. Music includes both congregational and special ministries - solos, duets, quartets, ensembles and the sanctuary choir. We make music more than a performance. It is a true art of worship.

WE HAVE A MISSION

To God: Nothing is too good for God. He deserves the best of our time, talent and energy. He has given His all for us and we owe Him our best efforts. He is the motivation for our involvement and He is the ultimate judge of our efforts.

To Our Church: Music is an important factor in the church. If the music is to remain a true ministry to the church, we know we must enter each service with a desire to worship and lift up the name of Christ.

To Our Leadership: We have made a pledge to follow the leadership and precepts of this organization. My prayer and support will help increase the effectiveness of the leadership.

To Fellow Choir Members: Our fellow members are also working to make a finer choir. We must remember that we are a team, and our lack of understanding and sensitivity to others will hurt the unity of the choir.

And...To Ourselves: The greatest enjoyment comes from the knowledge that we have done our best to contribute to the music ministry. We know that our presence in choir is very important and our faithful support of this ministry will increase our sense of accomplishment.

The Music and Fine Arts Department of North Highland has productions three (3) times during the year: Easter, Liberty Celebration and Christmas. We spend months preparing for these full-stage dramatic presentations filled with exciting music, multimedia and drama. The actors and singers come from our own talented choir and congregation. Easter Resurrection Celebration: "The Triumph" has been held at the River Center for the Performing Arts, here in Columbus, Georgia for five Easter seasons now.

Our goal has been to reach those who may not come to the local church. We rejoice at having recorded numerous salvations and rededications. This makes all our hard work and efforts worthwhile.
